Funeral Casework will be charged by the case. One case is one funeral, which is the number every funeral director already tracks, and it means a quiet month costs nothing.
There will be no subscription. Cases will be bought up front in packs and used as they come, and the packs get cheaper as they get bigger.
The packs
No VAT will be added to these prices. The first 3 cases will be free on signup, with no card.
The rules
- One credit will be used when a case is created.
- Credits will never expire, so a month with no funerals will cost nothing.
- Deleting a case within 24 hours will return its credit.
- An overdraft of three cases means a funeral will never be held up by a credit balance.
- Top-ups will happen automatically after the first purchase, and can be switched off.
- Every feature will be included at every pack size. Pack size will be the only variable.
- Users and branches will be unlimited.
- No setup fee, no onboarding charge and no contract.
- Data will be exportable at any time.
What a typical year costs
A single-branch firm conducting 120 funerals a year would buy 2 × 10 cases and 2 × 50 cases, at £1,050 for the year.
Buying in bigger packs costs less per case, so a firm doing several hundred a year pays less for each one. The published range runs from £10.00 a case at the smallest pack to £6.50 at the largest.
How this compares
Most UK funeral software is priced per funeral rather than per user, so the comparison is a straightforward piece of arithmetic. These are the rates each vendor publishes, applied to the same 120 funerals a year.
Evolution FMS shows two figures because Oak publishes a per-record rate and never defines a record, so a funeral is either one of them or two.
Two things belong in any comparison. Onboarding fees are charged by some vendors and not by others, and a listing fee is not a software fee even when the same company bills both. Where each figure came from, and what it does and does not include, is set out in the pricing articles.
Rates read from funeralmanager.co.uk/pricing(opens in a new tab), seker.co.uk/pricing(opens in a new tab) and www.funeralsoftware.co.uk/information(opens in a new tab), last verified on 12 August 2026.
Every vendor's model, side by side, is in the articles.
Availability
Funeral Casework is being built and is not yet available to buy. These prices are the published intention rather than a live rate card, and this page will say so until the day it does not.
