Who is building it
Dan Edwards, a software engineer. Two other products pay for the time this one takes, which is why there is no funding round behind it and no sales team to get past.

What it is for
A funeral cannot be booked until people outside the firm have done their part - a doctor, a medical examiner, sometimes a coroner, then a registrar. The work that eats an arranger's week is not entering data, it is knowing who has not come back yet and chasing them. Funeral Casework is built around that, and around letting the family fill in their own details rather than having them transcribed across a desk.
It does one job. There is no website builder, no obituary page, no flower shop and no marketing retainer attached to it.
How the writing is researched
The articles on this site cover UK funeral paperwork and what the software field costs. Three rules govern them.
- GOV.UK, the Ministry of Justice, NHS England and the Competition and Markets Authority are the authorities on the law and the forms. This site links out to them and never positions itself as the source.
- Competitor prices are the rates those vendors publish, with the arithmetic shown. Where a figure is genuinely unknowable from public sources, the articles say so rather than estimating.
- Nothing here claims Funeral Casework is the cheapest. It is not, at every size, and a comparison that only ever concludes in the author's favour is not worth reading.
Corrections
