Features

Every surface in Funeral Casework and its build status: cases, the family portal, the chase, documents, the diary, the price list and billing.

Funeral Casework will be a case management system for funeral directors in England and Wales, and nothing else. There will be no website builder, no obituary pages, no flower shop, no tribute videos and no marketing retainer. Every surface below exists to move a case from the first call to a settled invoice.

Nothing here is available to buy yet. Each surface has a written specification, which is what "specified" means below - the behaviour is settled and the code is not written. Statuses on this page change as that changes.

The surfaces

Cases
What it does
One record per death, from the first call to the closed file. Every other screen is a view over it.

First call
What it does
Four fields, reachable in two taps on a phone, for the call that comes at two in the morning.

In care
What it does
Everyone currently in the firm's care, where they are, and how long they have been there.
Status

Family portal
What it does
A link the family fills in at home, with no account and no password. Several relatives can hold the same link.

What it does
Each outstanding wait as its own item, carrying who it is waiting on, when it was last chased and its age in days.
Status
Specified
Documents
What it does
The statutory forms and the firm's own estimate and contract, filled from the case and signed on a tablet or remotely.
Status
Specified
Diary
What it does
Services, removals and appointments, with the people and vehicles they need.
Status

Price list
What it does
The firm's charges in the structure the Competition and Markets Authority requires, driving the estimate and the invoice.

How these fit together across one funeral is on the how it works page.

Included at every size

There will be no feature tiers. Every surface on this page will be available on every account, including the three free cases. The only thing that varies with what a firm pays is how many cases it has bought.

  • Unlimited users, at every pack size.
  • Unlimited branches, at every pack size.
  • Data exportable at any time.
  • No setup fee and no onboarding charge.

The pack ladder is on the pricing page.

England and Wales first

The forms at launch will be the England and Wales set: the medical certificate of cause of death, medical examiner scrutiny, coroner release, registration, the green form, cremation Form 1, the crematorium booking and certified copies. Scotland and Northern Ireland certify and register deaths differently, and their form sets will follow.
